A: None. That’s the entire point. We’ve binned the aspartame and avoided the nasty artificial aftertaste you get with the cheap stuff. Matthew (our resident numbers obsessive) spent months perfecting a blend of Stevia and Thaumatin—two natural, plant-based sweeteners that give you a full-sugar taste without the sugar crash.

Q: Why did you decide to be zero sugar in the first place?
A: Because we’re parents, not sugar-pushers. We got sick of the "choice" between boring water or luminous sugar-bombs that leave you with a massive crash. Mostly though, we weren't about to give our lad, Joey, a cocktail of sugar and artificial rubbish—and we weren't going to sell it to you, either.

Q: Is Joey's just another watered-down juice?
A: Absolutely not. Most "fruit drinks" are either watered-down juice from concentrate or high-fructose syrup bombs masquerading as cordials. Joey’s is the opposite. We use up to 99% real fruit juice in our bottles, but it’s raw, intense, and highly concentrated.
We’ve taken the best of the orchard, ditched the added sugar, and skipped the nasty artificial sweeteners. It’s crafted for grown-up palates that want proper flavour without the sugar crash. It's not just a drink; it's a concentrate that actually tastes like the fruit it came from.
Q: You cost a bit more than the stuff on the bottom shelf. Why should I upgrade?
A: Because you get what you pay for. Most "bottom shelf" cordials are just flavoured water and cheap, high-fructose syrup. Joey’s is the real deal -we use up to 99% real fruit juice, organic oils, and zero added sugar.
When you buy Joey's, you’re paying for actual fruit, not fillers and "neon" artificials. We bottle in glass because plastic is rubbish for you and the planet. We use a premium Stevia and Thaumatin natural blend, so you get the sweetness without the sugar crash. Have a look at the ingredients list on the cheap stuff, then look at ours. Q: How do I drink this? Just add water?
A: Use your head, it’s a concentrate. We recommend 1 part Joey’s to 6 parts water (still or sparkling), but we aren’t the boss of you.
If you want it punchier, go for it. It also works wonders in cocktails or drizzled over a bit of posh yogurt. Experiment, but don’t drink it neat unless you’re looking for a serious citrus slap to the face.
Q: Why only glass bottles? Plastic is lighter.
A: Plastic is also rubbish for the planet and you. We use high-quality glass because it preserves the authentic flavour of our Sorrento oils and real juices better than any plastic ever could. Plus, it’s 100% recyclable. When you’re finished, wash it out and reuse it, or stick it in the blue bin. No excuses.
Q: If it’s basically all juice, why isn’t it in the fridge?
A: Because we’re cleverer than that. We use high-quality fruit extracts and organic oils that keep the flavour stable without needing a blast of refrigeration. It’s a highly concentrated cordial, not a watered-down smoothie. It stays fresh in your cupboard, but once you open it, pop it in the fridge to keep those flavours sharp. Easy.
